While SAP allows the usage of special characters in passwords, it’s important to note that Winshuttle does not support certain special characters when accessing SAP. The following special characters are not compatible with Winshuttle when used in SAP passwords:

  1. Single Quote (‘)
  2. Double Quote (“)
  3. Backslash ()
  4. Forward Slash (/)
  5. Exclamation Mark (!)

To ensure a smooth interaction between Winshuttle and SAP, it’s crucial to avoid using these special characters in SAP passwords when utilizing Winshuttle functionalities.

Additionally, it’s advisable to verify that the customer’s Regional Settings are configured correctly. While the recommended setting is usually English US, it’s worth considering the customer’s current region and adjusting the settings accordingly. This can help in maintaining consistency and compatibility between Winshuttle and SAP.

In cases where the customer is utilizing Secure Network Communication (SNC), which involves providing a username and password, it’s essential to verify in SAP whether the Single Sign-On (SSO) option is enabled. If the SSO option is enabled, it might lead to compatibility issues with Winshuttle. In such scenarios, it is recommended to disable the SSO option in SAP and then reattempt the desired scenario in Winshuttle.

By adhering to these guidelines and ensuring compatibility between Winshuttle and SAP in terms of password characters and configuration settings, users can experience seamless integration and efficient workflows between the two systems.
